Clay and Mary Smith’s building journey began with the purchase of a foreclosed home that they remodeled. It sparked a passion in both of them to continue the work they fell in love with. Smith Family Homes opened its doors in April 2005. Parents of six children, Clay and Mary have always been very family-oriented, and you will find some of their children involved daily. They love to relax as a family at Dale Hollow Lake enjoying the water. In business, both Clay and Mary are active with clients from the start of a project to the finish. A benefit of working with them is the fact that a client will have two sounding boards, two different perspectives, which is incredibly valuable during the decision-making process.  Smith Family Homes is known for its above-grade methods. 

Each SFH home includes foam insulation, 2x6 exterior walls, and ensure building methods that allow homeowners to enjoy low utility bills in their new homes. A home is so much more than a house—it’s where memories are built! The Smiths build high-quality homes that will stand the test of time, sturdy walls where family photos will hang, and spacious kitchens big enough for everyone to gather ‘round at the holidays.
